struggle for the right to education
For the students of RIT, SFI is not like other indolent political party which exist only for their names in the campus. SFI who find out the problems in campus and amoung the students and a stentorian who speak out and would settle as soon as. We are getting such suggestions and complaints from the suggestion box which is placed near to union office. More over, on 6th and 7th of August 2009, we gave an oppertunity to all the students bu placing suggestion box in every department. In that survey we found good suggestions and we considered their values and we are on the way to fight against this.
TECHNICAL AND CULTURAL FEST 2010
The College Union by SFI took the initiative for technical and cultural fest for the year 2009-2010.The college union called a meeeting with every association secretaries and presidents.In that meeting we got so many suggestions regarding this event.We put all these to the college council and they give the responsibility to college union to make a framework.
SFI Kottayam District Committe had arranged a rally against the self financing colleges, which must be controlled by central government under the law, againest ragging in the campus and to agree with the suggestions put by the SFI state committe. The inagural function of this event had took place in RIT campus on 3rd August 2009, which was inagurated by Com: K Sureshkurup (Ex. SFI State President and Ex. MP). Com: Sojan Francis (SFI Kottayam District Secretary) was the captain of the rally.
Instructions
Before the beginning of every semester, it is the students duty to get himself/herself registered to the next semester, failing which his/her name would be striked off from the attendance register. Each department would be allotted a time interval in which all the students of the class should submit their fees in the college office. The registration form would be available with your respective class representative. Please make sure your class representative collects enough copies of the same before hand from the college office. After filling in the form every student has to get the NO DUES issued from the different laboratories and library that he/she had attended the previous semester. For example for students of 2008-12 batch registering for 3rd semester would have to get their no dues issued from the library, labstaff or concerned teacher incharge of civil, mechanical workshop and electrical labs. It would be advisable for students to clear all dues two days before hand to avoid long queues and delays. The registration form then has to be attested and forwarded by the staff advisor & HOD of your respective classes. Lastly the form should be submitted at the office during the time slot for your class. The fees for the next semester should also be remitted during this time.
From this year onwards the financial transactions for the SC, ST, OEC students are done through State Bank of India. So those students have to open a bank account. For this they have to collect the application for opening bank account and a form for stating they are inmates of college hostel, from the college office, and return these filled forms during the time of registration.
Students applied for KPCR fees concession should verify the sanctioned list in the KPCR section of college office.The fee structure and time slot for classes are as follows. Please feel free to talk to us for any clarifications.
