SFI & RIT
13 years after our campus came into being, if we look back we can see that off the many student organizations that are in the campus - SFI RIT UNIT was and is the only active dynamic one. It was our comarades who replanted our campus from the old one at PTM school to the present one through their strikes and marches to the collectorate. As we stand now in our campus we can still feel their voices, inspiring us in our day activities. SFI RIT unit has looked into every matter concerning the students of RIT. The new college bus, opening new lh, opening of new canteen, banning of religious postering in campus and thus preventing religious discrimination, increasing working time of library, repair of photostat machine, conducting college elections, against university syndicate for change of timetable and the year-out or exam-out measures.

SFI RIT UNIT is the only unit having a good track record of donating blood. Comarades of RIT have not shown any fear in donating his or her precious blood for someone in need. SFI has made sure that every person in need of blood was attended to, even though it meant not to attend classes for the same day. A drop of blood could save a life. SFI RIT UNIT also attends to emergency cases from Kottayam Medical College thus becoming the lifeline of Kottayam.
